Life Plan

In a little less than two weeks, I will officially be living here...

at the BYU Jerusalem Center! It's only about 6,000 miles away from Wisconsin. I'll be there for four months, which doesn't quite seem real yet. I'll be busy/having fun studying Hebrew and seeing the city every day. We're also going on trips to Turkey and Jordan.

My Paris study abroad three years ago was amazing, and I think this one will be too! It will be so different from anywhere I've been before. I'm just a little excited.

The next part of my life plan involves moving here...

to the Alsace region of France! Alsace is only about 4,000 miles away from home, so that's not too bad, right? For seven months (October-April), I'll be an assistant English teacher in a French middle school or high school. It's an internship through the French government that I've been wanting to do for years. It's called the Teaching Assistant Program in France (TAPIF). Which is just the most creative of names.

I'm still very happy I was accepted into the program! I'm so lucky to actually get paid to live in Europe.

So the next year of my life is looking pretty good! Is this real life? I'm excited to write about and post lots of pictures about what I'm doing on this blog, so I can share with friends and family back home what this Wisconsin girl is up to on the other side of the world.
