Showered.

I can't believe that we already made it to my bridal shower! And that just 1 week from today we'll be picking up David and his parents from the airport. And that I'll be freaking married in a week and a half. What??

I really enjoyed my shower today!! It was fun being spoiled and starting the official wedding celebrations. Jill, a family friend who I basically consider family, offered to throw it for me. Jenna helped with the games and others helped with the food. It was Parisian-themed, which was perfect for me... even though we're moving to the Riviera and not Paris. Paris will always be my favorite!

Everyone put on a strand of pearls when they came in and weren't allowed to say "France", David", or "marriage" during the party. If they got caught, someone could steal their necklace. The person with the most at the end got a prize. I got caught saying France haha

The keepsake/guest book that I get to take home is a dish I can use- pretty creative!

Lovely decorations- my favorite was the "Traveling from Ms. to Mrs." sign.

We ate a French-inspired brunch of pain au chocolat, macarons, quiche, fruit, and French man cookies.

Games included a "Guess what age the bride was" poster, a game guessing our likes and dislikes, and a Kahoot multiple choice quiz where people had to guess where in the world our different relationship milestones took place. For example- met for the first time (Strasbourg, France), first date (Nancy, France), first kiss (Paris), first DTR (Germantown), etc...

For some reason several people seemed to think I was 15 in the 24 year old picture (#3)... that made me laugh.

Guessing game

Hard at work on the quiz

Then came the GIFTS! We got lots of generous presents. Dishes, silverware, pans, glasses, gift cards, cute bathroom decorations, tupperware, a toaster and some games from Jenna. Unfortunately we'll be leaving almost all of our nice new beautiful things behind in storage. It will be like Christmas when we move back to America and can furnish our apartment. I guess that way we can prolong the fun and celebration.

My mom is already at quite a height disadvantage when I don't wear heels ;)

Our hostess Jill! She throws the cutest parties!!

Basically, I was kind of sad when it was over! But I guess it's only the beginning of the wedding festivities :)
